Well, the December menu is up.  We are on the go a lot this month with school programs, Christmas programs, and family gatherings.  I want to wish your family a very Merry Christmas!!  Enjoy the month celebrating the true meaning of the season, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

November Menu is being posted today!!!  You will see a few repeats of meals, but life happened the last couple months and meals had to change!  I forget about family birthdays (in-laws, etc) where we would eat out, so I just put some meals on hold.  Anyway, I hope this helps someone with dinner ideas.

Recipe Page

I have now added a recipe page to list the new recipes I have tried.  In the past couple of weeks, I have tried out 3 new recipes.  They have all been good for the most part!!
The Slow Cooker BBQ Shredded Pork surprised me with the taco sauce being in there.  I must say though, this was a very tasty dinner.  I am very picky when it comes to BBQ in the slow cooker, but this was very good.

The Yogurt Chicken Paprika was interesting.  Michael said it was very good. The kids picked over it, but my kids have a tendency to pick over a lot of the food fixed in this house!  I served this dish with rice, and found the chicken much better when served over the rice.

The Country Pork Ribs were amazing.  Who knew adding syrup and spices to meat could be so good.  This will definitely be fixed again in the Burns house.  I want to try it with maple syrup next time, but the pancake syrup worked just fine.  The meat was very moist and juicy.  I forgot to get the meat out of the freezer the night before and had to put it in the slow cooker frozen.  This worked just fine, I just separated the ribs half way through cooking.

Happy Eating.

New Menus Posted!

I have posted the remainder of September, and the October menus.  These are located under the menu tab on this blog.  As I get each month planned, I will post the menus here.  You will notice that Saturdays and Sundays are blank.  Saturdays are designated to Michael.  He gets to plan those meals, whether it is eating out or cooking at home.  I do not like cooking on Saturdays!  Sundays are days we eat lunch with family and then feed the kids cereal or something quick for dinner.  Michael and I normally grab junk food (pizza, burger, Qdoba, etc) for dinner and have a living room date night, spending time with one another before the work week begins.

About Us

II am a wife to my wonderful husband of 10 years.  The Lord has blessed us with 4 wonderful children who are 7,5,4,and 7 months.  They keep us busy going from place to place.  A few years ago I used to plan out my menus in advance which helped with the dinner time craziness.  Somewhere in the middle of "life" this got pushed to the back burner.  Here recently, dinner has become an argument in the house trying to figure out what I am going to cook.  So, last week I sat down with my calendar and exploding folder of recipes and made out my menu through October.  After saying something about this on Facebook, several of my friends wanted the menu.  So, it came to me that I should just blog this stuff.  If it helps another family to have a smoother dinner time and the ability to sit around the table with each other for dinner, GREAT!!  I have many recipes that I have never tried before that I have either been given or just found different places along the way.  I will try to write reviews about the new recipes.  I have a very picky family when it comes to eating!!
